Biography: Simon Wright
Born in West Yorkshire in 1974. From as early as I can remember I have always been drawing and painting, and it's been my sole passion all my life. After gaining a degree as an illustrator, I began to realize I enjoyed more fine art painting as it didn't have the restraints of illustrative work. Through this I gained success painting animals, particularly dogs, I also started to do more portraiture work. In my work I try to bring the elements of illustration and fine art together to hopefully create a style which is totally unique and appeals to a varied audience. I enjy working from realistic to abstract and everything in between. I work predominantly in oils and acrylic. I am always grateful that I am able to make a living out of my love of painting.

Susan Leigh
I realised from a very early age that drawing and art would be at the core of my being and would ultimately form part of my future career. The journey has taken me down many creative paths. After completing an art foundation course I decided textiles was the direction I wanted to follow. Having an ardent love of the French Impressionists I explored new boundaries between subject and form, media and texture, colour and light. I looked primarily to nature for my inspiration and constantly strived (and still do) to express my perceptions and not exact representations.
I became design manager for Osman/Dorma, a leading UK bedlinen and home furnishing company creating design ranges for high street department stores including John Lewis, M and S, Habitat and BHS, before eventually going freelance.
Constantly challenging myself I also studied Interior Design and worked simultaneously in both disciplines. With a little teaching on the side at three North West Colleges!
Taking my inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright I provided interior design solutions for a wide range of exclusive private home construction companies and also private commissions. As with Wright I woutld integrate architecture with the landscape, stemming from my love of nature.
Its only recently I have felt the instinctive desire to start painting with my watercolours once again. Why did I leave it so long?? Ive been looking after my son Harvey, who is now 11.
The interest from local galleries has been overwhelming and a boost to my confidence to receive so many commissions.
My life in Lancashire has provided me with a working class environment. Besides the industrial backdrop, I am also surrounded with beautiful countryside. I love to paint nature predominantly focussing on flowers and animals of the wild, farmyard and pet variety. Although I do love the odd still life and new challenges.
I love the unexpected characteristics of this medium but I also love experimenting with and incorporating pen, pastels and charcoal. I feel that I am now seeing life differently. Colour and form seem to have taken on a new meaning for me and want to express this through painting. I am continually learning .....

Artist: Stephen Park
Title: Leopard
Medium: Oil on Panel Image Size: 24" x 24"
Price: £1,795
Biography: Steven Park (b.1953) Birmingham, England
Stephen Park first started painting at the tender age of twelve, although his real enthusiasm for art did not begin until the age of fifteen. Influenced by the famous artist John Constable, Stephen first set about painting landscapes and seascapes, from which he took some of his very first commissions.
In 1980 Stephen decided to extend his art to wildlife, although it was not until a trip to Kenya in the late 1980s that his passion was awakened to the true beauty of this subject. “There is a very special feeling when you actually experience these animals in their natural habitat”, and so it was, that Stephen embarked upon painting these magnificent creatures.
The experience he has gained over the years painting such animals has now led to the inclusion of that most elegant of sporting animals – the racehorse. Many trips to racecourses all over the country photographing the action over jumps and the flat have enabled Stephen to capture this majestic animal at its best.
Stephen has had commissions from as far afield as the USA, Australia and Europe. It can take many weeks of research and long hours at the easel to produce a painting of the quality that is required in today’s market.

Steven Cummins Wildlife and Marine Artist
Born 1943 - Hampshire, England.
Stephen's formative years were spent in the delightful coastal village of Emsworth, on the Hampshire-Sussex borders.
The time he spent observing and sketching the local wildlife and marine activities served as initiation into the world of fine art. His accomplished draughtsmanship later secured him a place at the Sussex College of Art, where he studied graphics and illustration.
Stephen subsequently spent many years in the industry, but his interest, however, lay beyond the office walls.
He eventually decided to take the plunge and turned his life-long love of painting into his chosen profession, moving to an idyllic small cottage, set in a river valley in the heart of the West Country. The art world is richer as a result, and only time will allow his full potential to be realised.
Stephen painstakingly and meticulously researches his subject, ensuring it is technically accurate, prior to putting paint to canvas. His gift in conveying precise detail, atmosphere, lighting and artistic interpretation few can emulate.
His paintings may be found in leading galleries
and private collections, both in the UK and
overseas.
